Chest Press
On Monday I strained a pec doing incline. I got it pretty good. I have been taking it easy since then. It felt pretty good doing the chest press, but weak.
Pull-ups

Tomorrow is suppose to be clean and deadlift. I am probably going to squat instead and let the chest rest. I'm not competing till March so there is no need to rush the rehab. I am going to re-evaluate it on Sunday morning to decide about events.

Caber Day
I planned on using my off day today to cut down a tree and make a caber. The problem was the tree section I made weighed 200+ instead of the 90-100 I was hoping for. I am going to try again soon.There are alot of trees that need to be clearedin our yard.

Seeing this just reaffirms what I already knew. I have to get better at the stones.
I had a 2.5 point lead going into the last event and came in second by 2.5 points. A 5 point swing on one event can NOT happen...and will not happen again!!!

GSM and the next day
Made it home around 10:30pm last night, unloaded the car and got Donnie to bed. I finally fell asleep around midnight. Then at 6:30am this morning Donnie comes running into my room asking if he gets to workout this morning. So at 6:45am I'm in the garage spotting him. I'm so proud of that little guy. This morning after sitting in the hot sun all day he gets up and is ready to get some work done.

Stayed off the yoke this week to let the low back rest.
This morning was an especially fun one for me because my wife came out for her first strongman (woman) workout. She did some lunges to warm-up then three 100ft farmers walks (turn at 50ft) with 50# per hand and 3x10 clean and press. She did very good for her first strongman training. She has no aspirations of competing...yet!!! But it gets into your blood and you can't help but want to compete eventually. My son hearing the fun decided to come join us. He did 3x10 on the deadlift and two 30ft farmers walks with 50# per hand and some pull-ups. Wasn't the most intense workout I've ever had but it was a lot more fun then I've had while training in a long time.

I decided not to train today. Upper back is real sore from DeadLifting yesterday. I really like the narrower stance, but it is working my upper back a lot more. I am going to do some pressing tomorrow then clean and front squat on Friday.
Right now I am also planning on skipping the yoke on Sunday. It is a very intense event and I think doing it every week might be too much. I might so one light carry with 500-550, but probably get some extra stone work in instead.
